Head of Societe Generale Private Banking

Jean-François Mazaud was appointed Head of Societe Generale Private Banking in March 2012. He became a member of Societe Generale Group’s Management Committee in 2012 and a member of Societe Generale Global Banking and Investor Solutions’ Executive Committee in 2013.

In 2017, on top of his existing role as Head of Societe Generale Private Banking, Jean-François has taken the responsibility of supervising the new Asset & Wealth Management business unit of the Societe Generale group. This business unit is composed of 2 distinct activities: Lyxor (the asset management arm of Societe Generale) and Societe Generale Private Banking.

Jean-Francois Mazaud began his career in 1991 as a manager at Bank Indosuez, initially in Paris and then in Tokyo.

He joined Societe Generale in 1993, advising the bank's clients on their fund raising transactions, in particular with regard to privatisations, IPOs or capital increases. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Equity Linked Origination, before joining the Debt Capital Markets department in 2004. In 2006, Jean-François Mazaud was appointed Global Head of Debt Capital Markets and then became Deputy Head of Global Finance for Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2008. Additionally, he was a member of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking’s Executive Committee between 2009 – 2012, and a member of the Global Banking & Investor Solutions division’s Executive Committee since 2012. Jean-Francois Mazaud was appointed Head of Societe Generale Private Banking in 2012 and entered the Group Management Committee of Societe Generale.

Jean-Francois Mazaud holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the Lyon Business Management School and is a graduate of the Bordeaux Management School.

Patrick Folléa joined BNP in 1984 as an economist before joining the Internal Audit Department in 1990. He then became Manager of Private Banking in Hong Kong and Managing Director of BNP Asset Management in Asia.

He returned to Private Banking in 2000 as regional manager in charge of development. From 2003, he was in charge of BNP Paribas Private Bank in Italy and in 2007 joined Societe Generale group as Deputy CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking France. In 2012, in addition to his existing responsibilities, he was appointed Deputy Head of Societe Generale Private Banking.

Patrick Folléa has been member of the Executive Committee of Societe Generale Private Banking since 2011, in charge of supervising Societe Generale Private Banking's activities in France, Belgium and Luxembourg. In January 2014, he became a member of the Group Management Committee of Societe Generale.

Patrick Folléa has a degree in Private International Law and Political Sociology from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux and a Doctorate in International Finance from the University of Paris, Dauphine.

Maxime Sabiaux joined Société Générale Group in 2009 within the General Inspection department where he led several projects (retail bank in France and abroad, investment banking) and from 2015 co-ran as an Inspecteur Principal.

Maxime graduated from ESSEC and holds a Master degree in Business Law from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University.

John holds the position of Kleinwort Hambros Group Chief Executive Officer having been appointed to this role on 1st July 2018. As CEO of Kleinwort Hambros, John has the overall responsibility for implementing the strategic objectives of the Group business and ensuring the KH Group remains a major brand within the UK wealth management market.

Prior to being appointed CEO he was the KH Group Commercial Director with responsibility for defining the commercial proposition and strategic direction for Kleinwort Hambros. John joined SGPB Hambros in May 2011 having previously been Head of Private Clients at Barings where he was responsible for the development of both the onshore and offshore private client business.

John joined Baring Asset Management in 2002 from Merrill Lynch, where he worked in the International Private Client Group and held the position of Managing Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

His fourteen year tenure at Merrill Lynch included running both offshore and onshore private client business in the UK as well as managing the Merrill Lynch offices in Geneva and Dubai.

Prior to Merrill Lynch John worked at Schroders in the Institutional Equity Division. John received a BA from Durham University and spent three years in the Army.

Olivier Lecler started his career in 1992 as Editor of the INSEE Bulletin on the macro-economic situation.

In 1996, he joined Societe Generale group (SG) as Strategic Studies Manager in the Finance and Development Department. In 1999, he was appointed Finance and Development Director of Fimatex, subsidiary which is Boursorama today, of which he became Deputy Managing Director in 2003. He then joined SG Asset Management (SGAM) in 2006, first as Head of Finance and Operations, then as deputy to the Deputy General Manager, Operations. Until May 2008, he was Chairman & CEO of SGAM Banque, specialised in structuring for alternative investments. In June 2008, he became Chief Operating Officer of SGAM and CEO of SGAM AI, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Global Investment Management & Services division in 2009.
He was appointed CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking Monaco in January 2011, then Managing Director of Societe Generale Bank & Trust, in charge of private banking activities in Luxembourg in January 2013. He became Deputy CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking Suissee in August 2015.

Olivier Lecler is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE.

Olivier Paccalin began his career in 1998 at the Head Office of SGPB where he contributed to the creation of the Business Line.

In 2005 he joined SGPB France as Marketing Manager for Portfolio Management Solutions. In 2007 he developed the entity’s Investment Advisory team, becoming head of the team which joined Advisory Managed in 2009. In 2011 he was appointed local head of Investment Solutions (now WMS) with responsibility for financing, life insurance and real estate before being appointed Chief Investment Officer for SGPB France in 2012.

In September 2015, he was appointed Head of Wealth Management Solutions for Societe Generale Private Banking and joined the Executive Committee of the private bank.

Olivier Paccalin is a graduate of the Paris Dauphine University, member of the SFAF and is a certified by the Certified International Investment Analysts.

Prior to joining Societe Generale, Anne was Head of Recruitment and then Head of Human Resources within Team Trade Group, an IT financial consultancy company, where she worked during 7 years.

Anne holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Montpellier Business School.

Hélène Faracci-Steffan started her career in 1989 as a Quantitative Analyst at ABF Capital Management, where she was appointed successively Head of Portfolio Management then Head of Research.

In 1997 she joined Societe Generale Group as Head of Fixed Income Quantitative Research at Societe Generale Asset Management before taking up the position of Head of Balance Sheet Management for Societe Generale group in 2005.

Hélène was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking in 2011, joining its Executive Committee in 2013.

Hélène is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale in Paris and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
