Student at the National School of Administration (ENA - promotion Human Rights, 1979-81), he became in 1986 Technical Adviser in charge of tax affairs of Alain Juppé (Budget Minister) and Edouard Balladur (Minister of Economy and Finance). In 1995, he was appointed Director of the Cabinet of Prime Minister Edouard Balladur.

Advisor to the President then Administrative Director of Elf-Aquitaine, he is then, from 2000 to 2009 the Deputy Secretary General, the Secretary General from 2009 to 2015 and since 2015 the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Société Générale.

President of Société Générale Bank & Trust since 2009, he is also Chairman of the tax committee (since 2001), the compliance committee (since 2011) and the fight against money laundering (since 2011) of the French Banking Federation (FBF).

Arnaud Jacquemin joined Societe Generale Group in 1993 within SG CIB, where he worked in a number of positions both in France and the USA, notably in project finance then as head of strategy for SG CIB. In 2003, he joined the Finance and Development division as Deputy Head, then Head of Financial Management. In 2008, he was appointed Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer. In 2012 he joined the Risk division as Deputy Chief Risk Officer. He was appointed Group Deputy General Secretary in 2015, notably heading the transformation of the Compliance division, and Deputy Head of Group Compliance in 2017. In June 2018, he became Group Country Head for Luxembourg and CEO of Société Générale Bank & Trust, which conducts all Group businesses in Luxembourg.

Arnaud Jacquemin is a member of the Société Generale Group Management Committee. He is a graduate of the École polytechnique and the Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées.

Head of Societe Generale Securities Services

David Abitbol is appointed Head of SGSS in January 2019. David has more than 20 years of experience in global markets. He has been Chief Operating Officer for Societe Generale Asia Pacific and Chief Executive of Societe Generale Hong Kong Branch, since March 2014. He joined the bank in 1992 within the Group Finance division as an actuary then took up the role as Head of Financial studies and Funding Operations within the Asset and Liability Management Department. In 1997, he moved to Operations in Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) as Project Director for Interest Rate Derivatives and the Futures and Money Market activities. In 2000, David joined the Capital Market Fixed Income Business Line as Programme Director. Among others, he was the bank’s representative for the SwapClear project which established the world’s first OTC clearing service with London Clearing House. In 2004, David moved back to Operations where he held various management positions and was eventually Global Head of Operations in SG CIB, in early 2010.

David has a Masters Degree in Mathematics and Finance from Paris-Dauphine University and the Strastourg University Degree of Actuary.

Cécile Bartenieff began her career in 1990 at Accenture's consulting division before joining BRED Banque Populaire in 1995 where she worked successively as an Arbitrage trader and then in sales for large Corporates. Cécile Bartenieff joined Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking in 2000. She held various managerial positions within the Finance and Operations Departments before joining the COO office of Global Markets. In 2014, Cécile Bartenieff was nominated Head of Operations of Global Banking & Investor Solutions. She was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Global Banking & Investor Solutions on 1st June 2017. 

Cécile Bartenieff holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the ESSEC Business School.

Head of Wealth and Asset Management

Patrick Follea was appointed Head of Societe Generale Group’s Wealth and Asset Management division in February 2019. Previous to this role, he was Deputy Head of Societe Generale Private Banking (2012-2019) and Head of Societe Generale Private Banking France (2009-2019).

Prior to Societe Generale, Patrick Folléa worked at BNP as an economist, before joining its Internal Audit Department in 1990. He was then Head of Private Banking Hong Kong (1995-1997) and CEO of BNP Asset Management Asia (1997-2000).  He returned to BNP Private Bank in 2000 as Head of Development Asia, before becoming Head of BNP Paribas Private Banking Italy from 2003.

He joined Societe Generale in 2007 as Deputy Head of Private Banking France, becoming its Head in 2009.

Patrick Follea graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux and Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris, and has Masters Degrees in Private International Law and Political Sociology. He also holds a PhD in Economics and International Finance from Paris Dauphine University.

Virginie Lagrange is an Independent Director of Societe Generale Bank & Trust since January 2018.

She has 25 years of experience in the banking sector including 7 years of experience in the External Audit of Banks and 8 years of experience in the Bank’s Internal Audit.

She has also held the positions of Chief Risk Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and was part of a Bank’s Authorized Managament for several years.

She is currently member of the Luxembourg Statutory Auditors Association (Institut des Réviseurs d’Entreprise – IRE) member and an Independent Director of the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA). She is also Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of two other Banks. 

Virginie Lagrange has a Master’s degree in Finance and is graduated from INSEAD and ILA.

In 2007, he began his professional career in SGBT in production and then in clients’ relations within SGSS. Since 2017, he has worked in the Private Banking department as an intermediary clients’ relationship in external management.

Virgil is also ambassador of “Talents & Partage” in Luxembourg for 3 years. He is in charge of different philanthropic projects with committed collaborators.

Pierre Palmieri was appointed Head of Global Finance in January 2012. He had previously been Deputy Head of Global Finance (formerly Capital Raising and Financing) since April 2008. Prior to that, he was Global co-Head of Natural Resources and Energy Financing.

Pierre Palmieri began his career at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking in 1987 in the Export Finance department. He then became head of a finance engineering team. In 1994 he joined the commodities finance team, and in 2001 he was appointed Global Head of Structured Commodity Finance. His responsibilities were broadened in 2003 to include the mining sector and again in 2005 to include trade finance activities. Pierre has been a member of Societe Generale Group Management Committee since January 2011.

Pierre Palmieri is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Tours.

Bruno Prigent joined the Societe Generale Group in 1984 in the General Inspection. Then, he held various positions within the securities division: Head of Fund Administration and UCITS depositary, Head of Securities services dedicated to Institutional Investors, and Deputy Head and then Head of Societe Generale Securities Services. He has a Master’s degree in IT (MIAGE) of Paris IX Dauphine.

He left the Group in January 2019 and, as Director, goes on providing the Bank’s Board of Directors with his experience.

After having worked from 1995 to 2000 in the Real Estate department of Societe General Corporate & Investment Banking, Frédéric Surdon joined the structured financing team. In 2004, he became Deputy Head for Continental Europe and US for the structured financing. From 2008 to 2013, he was COO of the Global Finance’s division.

From 2013 to 2015, he was appointed as Global Head of Export Finance.

Frédéric Surdon holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and is graduated from ESSEC.

The Authorised Management of the Bank consists of the Chief Executive Officer, the General Secretary and the Chief Operating Officer. The Authorised Management of the Bank is in charge of the effective, sound and prudent day-to-day management.

Hélène Crinquant was appointed General Secretary of Societe Generale Bank & Trust since 1st of June 2016.

After ten years with the Banque Populaire in France, Hélène Crinquant joined the Société Générale Group in 1998.

After being Head of the Cash Management Business Line and Assistant Head of the Businesses department, she was appointed as Director of Marketing and Sales Coordination within Private Banking in Luxembourg. In 2006, she became SGBT Director of Human Resources. From 2010 to 2012, she served as Deputy General Manager, a member of the SGBT Executive Committee. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing Operations, General Services, Purchasing and Communications.

In 2013, she joined the Human Resources Department of the Société Générale group in Paris as Training Director, Management and Development of Strategic Talent and Group Senior Executives.

Hélène Crinquant graduated with a Masters in Economic Sciences, majoring in Finance and Currency, from the University of Nancy and the Institut Technique de Banque. She also holds certification in individual and collective coaching.

Yves Cacclin is Head of Commercial Banking, Structured Finance and Corporate Financial Engineering since June 2015.

A graduate of HEC Liège, Yves Cacclin joined Société Générale Bank & Trust in February 1995 as a middle office manager in financial engineering and wealth planning. In 1999, he moved to the front office where he worked as a corporate financial engineer before being named head of department in 2004. Since 2015, he is also in charge of the commercial banking activity.

Previously Frederic Crochard was Societe Generale America’s New York-based Finance Director and Head of the Paris-based Financial, Standards and Taxation Control Department at GBIS. He also led the Standards Department for SG CIB. Prior to joining Societe Generale, Frederic had held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Kepler Capital Markets and was Senior Manager with PCW for 4 years in Montreal (Canada).

Bertrand Kauffmann is Global Head of Market Solutions within private banking activities of Societe Generale Luxembourg, and, since October 1, 2019, Digital Transformation Officer.

Bertrand Kauffmann joined Societe Generale in 1992 within SOGENAL Luxembourg (Société Générale Alsacienne de Banque). In 1997, he was in charge of managing the treasury team of SOGENAL Luxembourg and Societe Generale Luxembourg. He took the global supervision of treasuries and Foreign Exchange operations in 2010 for Societe Generale Private Banking. Since 2013, he is Global Head of Market Solutions, providing our clients with effective access to a wide range of products and services in financial markets. In 2016, he joined the Executive Committee.

Bertrand Kauffmann graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP).

Eric Kerschen was appointed Head of Compliance of SGBT in April 2018.

Eric entered Société Générale in Luxemborug in 2006 in the Internal Audit Department. He joined the Compliance Department in 2010 and served as deputy head of the department since 2014.

In 2018, he joins the Executive committee of Société Générale in Luxembourg.
Eric Kerschen is an university graduate of Paris 1 (law) and an ENA alumnus.

Olivier Lecler started his career in 1992 at INSEE (French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies) as editor of the INSEE Bulletin on the macro-economic situation. In 1996, he joined Societe Generale group as Strategic Studies Manager in the Finance and Development Division. In 1999, he was appointed Finance and Development Director of Fimatex, subsidiary which is Boursorama today, of which he became Deputy Managing Director in 2003. Olivier Lecler then joined SGAM group in 2006, firstly as Head of Finance and Operations, then as deputy to the Deputy General Manager, Operations. Until May 2008, he was Chairman & CEO of SGAM Banque, specialised in structuring for alternative investments. In June 2008, Olivier Lecler became Chief Operating Officer of SGAM and CEO of SGAM AI, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Global Investment Management & Services division in 2009. In January 2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking Monaco, then Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Bank & Trust in charge of private banking activities in Luxembourg in January 2013.
He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland in 2015 and Chief Executive Officer in March 2016.
Olivier Lecler is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE (Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance).

Mathieu Maurier was appointed Country Manager for SGSS Luxembourg in September 2018.

He has more than twenty five years of experience in the Securities Services industry. He joined Societe Generale in 1994 and held numerous positions, from operations and product development to client services and international sales management. In 2005, he became Country Manager in South Africa. Three years later, he moved to Moscow to develop Securities Services within Rosbank. Since 2011, Mathieu has been in charge of SGSS Global Sales and Relationship Management teams.

Philippe Perain is the Head of Human Resources in Société Générale in Luxembourg since April 2018.

After spending 10 years in the energy and automotive sectors, Philippe Perain joined Société Générale in January 1996 as head of labour law. In 2000, he joined the Human Resources department as Deputy Head and then Head of Employee Relations. He then became Head of Human Resources for the Ile de France Sud regional delegation within retail banking. Since October 2011, Philippe has been Head of Human Resrouces at SGSS where he worked a lot to support the transformation.

Hedi Sghaier is Systems Director of Société Générale in Luxembourg since May, 2018.

In 1994, Hedi Sghaier joined the IT department of Société Générale CIB and occupied numerous posts, from the development of applications to project management before performing managerial functions within the IT and Operations services. Since 2014, he was in charge of the IT division dedicated to piloting of risks of counterparty on market transactions.

Hedi studied at the University of Technology of Compiègne, he has a double diploma Master's degree Computer Sciences Projects Management and a Doctorate 3rd Cycle in Fluid mechanics.

Thierry Villemin is Société Générale in Luxembourg’s Chief Risk Officer since June 2018.

After working three years at Crédit du Nord network in Lorraine, Thierry joined Société Générale in Luxembourg in 1998. He worked as a corporate credit and private banking analyst, and then moved to internal audit at Société Générale in Luxembourg as Deputy Head of Department from 2003 to 2006. He subsequently joined the risk department, where he put in place an operational risk management system, before becoming Deputy Chief Risk Officer in 2012. 

Thierry is an economic sciences graduate, and has a master's in Finance.

Benoît Willers is SGBT Operations Director since July 1st 2018. 

After 10 years with BIL Luxembourg, working in the Fund Services Department and the Private Banking Back Office, Benoît Willers joined the Group Société Générale in 2007. He held a series of posts, becoming Deputy Head of the Middle Office, then Head of Clearing and Settlement Services in 2012-2013 and Head of Custody and Issuer Services until 2016, when he was appointed Head of SGSS Banking Operations.
