Société Générale Luxembourg announces the launch of its innovation lab, #LePlateauLUX.

Société Générale Luxembourg announces the launch of its innovation lab, #LePlateauLUX, to promote the collaboration between the luxembourgish FinTech ecosystems, start-ups and internal projects.

#LePlateauLUX is a meeting place and space for co-creation and concrete, rapid implementation of projects. Its objective is to submit bank securities projects to these different innovation players. Its ambition is to be a real accelerator of the innovation process within Société Générale Luxembourg to accompany the bank in its digital transformation, in order to better respond to client needs as well as possible.

Ideally situated near the train station of the city, at 21 rue d’Epernay, #LePlateauLUX accompanies and makes available to these players more than 100 m² of work space and 1,000 m² of living space: brainstorming and creativity rooms, a conference room with a capacity of 100 people, sports area, activities proposed by Société Générale Luxembourg and two canteen areas.

#LePlateauLUX is going to collaborate with the Luxembourgish FinTechs ecosystem, particularly with the Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies (LHoFT Foundation) and Luxinnovation, for its expertise in accompanying innovative start-ups, especially with regard to accessing financing. Technological collaboration is also being studied with Telindus, as well the selected start-ups being able to access the acceleration platform (Fintech Acceleration Platform), which was designed jointly by Finologee and Clearstream Services, to develop and test their products and services. Start-ups as well as those running internal projects can also collaborate with Expon Capital to establish relationships.

External start-ups, primarily targeting the sectors of artificial intelligence, data, blockchain and cybersecurity, have been chosen based on the technology used, interest for the Luxembourg Financial Centre and the possible applications for the industry.

The Société Générale group has been established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for 125 years. The bank has over 1,200 staff, and it accompanies its clients in the fields of private banking, market activities, business services and Securities Services.
